Credit Suisse's Credit Risk IB Team (also referred to as Credit Risk Management or "CRM") partners with key business partners throughout the Bank to meet business demands and an evolving regulatory environment in the US. The team establishes internal credit ratings and counterparty limits for the portfolio. CRM's directive is two-fold (1) Loan Underwriting / Transaction Approval: Initial review and approval of loan and traded product exposure (2) Portfolio Management: Ongoing monitoring (quarterly / annually) of loan and traded product exposure on CS's books.

The Credit Risk IB Real Estate Asset Finance (REAF) team is tasked with providing CRM oversight and control of the Securitized Products Finance (SPF) business in the Investment Bank. In order to fulfill its mission, the REAF team partners with SPF to complete on-site and telephonic due diligences, structure lending transactions, produce Credit Acceptance Memos, and actively manage exposures and counterparty performance. The team is organized around the following three verticals (1) Real Estate (2) Asset Finance (3) Sector Finance. This team is seeking an analyst-level applicant to join the Asset Finance team in Raleigh, NC. You Offer

List of skill and experience encouraged in an applicant:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Finance / Economics / Math is preferred.
  • Some exposure to securitization/structured products is desirable
  • Responsible for managing preparation of transaction memos to support CRM decisions and approvals
  • Interact with deal teams and Securitized Products Lending regarding CRM follow-ups associated with under-writings and amendments/extensions of credit
  • Understand and take views on various transactions and transaction structures requiring CRM insight and approval
  • Assist in crafting complete, clear and succinct written analysis of credit pages for transactions
  • Support ongoing portfolio surveillance efforts
  • Rationalize proposed credit and regulatory risk ratings
  • Process credit authorizations in internal approval system
  • Responsible for ad hoc duties as requested by senior team members and CRM management
  • Ability to succinctly communicate, provide creative thought and independent analysis
  • Attention to detail, self-starter with the ability deliver quality work with minimal supervision under critical timelines
  • Proficient with knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint is essential
