Job Description

The ideal candidate will be willing to travel to communities in an assigned region or geographical area and will home office out of a community part of the week. We are seeking a candidate to cover the Northwest and Mountain area preferably living in Washington, Colorado, Utah or Idaho. Purpose:The Financial Services Specialist oversees and ongoing training of the Business Office Director role. Additionally, the positionsupports the Business Office Directors on systems and established policies and procedures. Ensure practices and processes forCentury Park communities are followed in accordance with all laws, regulations, and Century Park standards. Reports to Director ofFinancial Services.Working Conditions:* Works in office or remotely working from home as well as in communities as needed* Subject to frequent interruptions* Works beyond normal working hours, on weekends, and in other positions temporarily as necessary* Subject to falls, burns from equipment, odors, etc. during community visits* Possible exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including exposure to AIDS and Hepatitis B virusesEducation and Experience:* Must possess an associate degree from accredited college (or equivalent experience)* Bachelors degree is preferred* Must have at least 2 years experience in business office functions.* Prior multi-site experience preferred* Prior experience in healthcare business office management setting preferredSpecific Requirements:* Must demonstrate effective communication skills with community staff and leadership at all levels* Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action* Must be knowledgeable of industry financial and business office practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing such functions in the senior services industry* Must have the ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the financial services department* Must demonstrate traits of honesty, integrity, and ethics* Must maintain the confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information* Must have expert knowledge in field of practice* Must be proficient with Windows, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), Outlook and internet-based programs* Maintains professional working relationships with all associates, residents, families, vendors, etc.* Must understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures* Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Century Parks Code of Ethics and completes all required compliance trainingPrimary Job Duties:* Must assist with selection, training, and support of Business Office Directors.* Must train and support Business Office staff on an ongoing basis in variety of financial software areas (i.e., PCC, ADP).* Must identify, report, and serve as part of the solution to issues discovered in the Business Office functions.* Must visit assigned communities upon hire of a new Business Office Director for initial training.* Must visit assigned communities as needed to complete to audit and assess Business Office functions.Essential Functions:* Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.* Must understand and follow company policies, including harassment and complaint procedures.* Must practice dependable, regular attendance.* Must be able to concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment.* Must be able to communicate and function in an interdisciplinary team.* Must be able to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, and move intermittently during working hours.Core Character Traits:* Communicates with Dignity and Respect* Promotes Excellence through Transparency, Honesty and Accountability* Creates a Welcoming Environment for all through Diversity and Inclusion* Demonstrates Good Citizenship through Fairness, Caring, and CooperationAn Equal Opportunity Employer
