Based in the Chicagoland area but serve across the United States with in-house underwriting capabilities and a team of seasoned professionals trained to make sure we find the right loan for our customers not for us. What You Will Be Doing

Review and evaluate real estate appraisals and underwrites mortgage loans on a daily basis.

Analyze the credit, income, and personal assets of loan applicants.

Underwrite conventional, FHA, and VA first mortgages as well as second mortgages and HELOCs in conformance with investor requirements, as well as the company's policies and procedures.

What You Need for this Position

3+ years mortgage underwriting experience
Knowledge of FNMA/FHLMC guidelines and standards
Familiarity with Encompass
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Excellent people skills

Excellent Verbal And Written Skills Required

Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Has the ability to work well under quick timelines
Has the ability to utilize various systems and reporting methods and to work with various units within the mortgage company
