Our client, a rapidly growing startup ($20M+ revenue) is primed for substantial growth and actively seeking a Controller to play a crucial role in steering their corporate accounting operations during their next phase of growth. This role reports directly to the CEO and involves overseeing a small team of accounting operations professionals. Manage Day-to-Day Accounting Operations:
- Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and cash management processes.
- Review and approve expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policies and guidelines.
- Supervise revenue recognition processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Provide accurate and timely financial information to support decision-making.
- Ensure financial statements comply with relevant regulations and standards.
Internal Controls and Compliance:
- Evaluate and monitor company policies and procedures, identifying areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting requirements.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Collaborate with department heads to coordinate the preparation of the annual budget.
- Monitor financial performance against budget and provide insights for adjustments as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts to support strategic planning.
Business Performance Metrics:
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess business performance.
- Provide regular reports and analysis on KPIs to management.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement based on performance metrics.
Ad Hoc Financial Analysis:
- Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic initiatives.
- Prepare insightful reports and presentations for management.
- Assist in special projects and initiatives as required.
Benefits - Base Salary: $140K - $160K DOE

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
- 8+ years of experience with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory position.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented, with a high level of accuracy and integrity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency with Netsuite preferred
