Job Summary: The Contracts Manager will be a member of a team of attorneys and other insurance and safety professionals and will support the contracting effort within the Contracts and Risk Management Department. Position will be located at one of Bigge's many facilities system-wide depending on the candidate. This is not a remote position. Responsibilities: Review, red-line, negotiate terms and sign (in accordance with documented authorization guidelines) customer construction contracts, equipment rental agreements, equipment sales documents, consulting agreements and other routine and non-routine documentation associated with the operations of an organization of similar size and complexity as Bigge. Ownership of the contracting process from initial fact checking (confirmation of scope, schedule and price with sales and payment status with accounting) to final document storage, including all "administrative" tasks related thereto such as: Upload final signed documents into the job ticketing system and storage server, and update tracking spreadsheets. Identify and notify other departments of special requirements, such as special billing requirements or on-line billing programs, certified payroll reporting, local hiring, and controlled insurance programs. Enroll in controlled insurance programs. Order or pull insurance certificates from insurance company on-line database. Review and upload customer insurance certificates into a database. Coordinate with internal and external resources in claims management, dispute resolution, litigation and bankruptcy matters. Outreach to and cross-training of team members in other departments. Supervise and train contracts administrators. Educational Requirements/Qualifications: BA/BS is required. Advanced degree (JD and or MBA) preferred. Admission to the bar in California, Texas or other major jurisdiction is preferred. Business litigation and insurance claims management is a plus. 5-7 years of experience in construction contract management, including redlining and negotiating, is highly preferred. Basic understanding of contracts, indemnification, and insurance is mandatory. Specialized government contracting experience or certification is not required. Must have a high level of interpersonal skills. Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization. Continually demonstrate poise, tact and diplomacy. Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with, and persuade, customers and other stakeholders, by email, telephone and contract draftsmanship. Proficiency with MS Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook expected. Experience with Adobe, DocuSign, and Salesforce a plus. Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands. Demonstrate ability to work independently after initial training. Valid Driver's License and Clean Driving Record.
