Job Description

Chadwick Martin Bailey (CMB) is a client-centric and highly collaborative insights agency seeking a Contract Human Resources Generalist. The position will report to, and works side-by-side with, CMB's VP, People and Culture as a two-person team. This role has responsibility for supporting the employee experience of nearly 100 employees. This role requires fluency across many different areas of human resources including benefits, employee relations, compliance, talent acquisition, and performance management.
This is a 4-6 month contract beginning in late April, 2021 and is fully remote. For the first month of this assignment, the Contract Human Resources Generalist will shadow and learn from the current Human Resources Generalist, but is expected to operate independently from that point forward.

Responsibilities & Expectations
Benefits
  • Manage all benefits programs, including new employee orientation and changes to employee elections and eligibility
  • Manage all employee leave programs including FMLA, maternity, and others
  • Act as point of contact for employee benefits and leave questions
Employee Relations
  • Manage and/or assist with employee appreciation events in partnership with CMB's Office Manager
  • Produce and send monthly employee reporting to ITA Group
  • Perform exit interviews and summarize feedback for leadership
Compliance
  • Manage employee files and make sure employee information is kept up to date in a variety of locations
  • Maintain CMB's compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
  • Partner with managers and leadership to draft, edit, and maintain updated job descriptions
Performance Management
  • Manage company-wide development planning and performance review process including 90 Day Check-In, 360 Annual Performance Review and Talent Review processes
  • Act as primary administrator for performance management system, Halogen
  • Actively mentor and coach managers and others, as appropriate
Recruiting & Onboarding:
  • Source candidates and assess talent, potential, and cultural fit through phone screens
  • Manage interview process and participants to meet the hiring goals of CMB
  • Manage hiring and onboarding processes with line managers and new employees
  • Manage job postings on CMB website, LinkedIn Careers page, and other resources
  • Partner with and manage external recruitment and resource providers, as necessary
  • Conduct background checks and verify education requirements
General
  • Consistently uphold CMB's commitment to diversity
  • Plan and execute initiatives, as assigned
  • Assist with HR related projects, including training and development initiatives, as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related discipline
  • 5+ years of related professional experience, ideally in a professional services setting
  • Demonstrated capacity to positively and professionally interact with, and develop and maintain, effective working relationships with all levels of an organization that reflects a broad range of experiences and perspectives
  • Knowledge of state and federal labor laws and regulations required
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
  • Must have solid understanding of the principles of Human Resources administration
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong organization skills and high attention to detail
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of company/employee data
  • Experience with performance management platforms (Halogen preferred)
  • Experience with ATS (JazzHR preferred)
