Your Impact: Provide Information Assurance Research and Development to Support Network Management and Security Operations. The Government will assign specific tasks as needed technical instructions for the execution of tasks that include but are not limited to: Designing and developing software tools that enhance the analysis functions of the personnel monitoring network security and potentially network management functions; Supporting the integration of externally developed tools created by other Government research activities. Executing plans for integrating the tools to provide comprehensive analysis tools. Responsibilities: + Support the development and refinement of the CSSP data set curation processes, CSSP data management processes, CSSP data governance processes. + Explore CSSP data sets using both open source and commercial tools. Drive insight into gaps in operational coverage and how the mission can be performed more efficiently from a data perspective. + Review and refine the existing ETL software and CI/CD pipeline processes for various GOTS applications. + Support the development of analytics using open source and GOTS tools. + Support internal and external efforts to leverage commercial tools (e.g. Sentinel, ECE, etc). + Support the research and development of a comprehensive methodology to label our data for use in supervised AI/ML + Support the collection and display of metrics and key performance indicators as they relate to CSSP data lifecycle. + Support external research initiatives from industry to Academia. Potential to serve as the primary investigator when a vendor or educational institution claims their product or process can do X for the CSSP. Here's What You'll Need: + Experience with multiple operating systems: Linux, MacOSX, Windows10, etc + Experience with the development of scripts and utilities to automate the management of individual systems and collections of systems. + Experience with network management and security operations including Security Technical Implementation Guides for multiple varieties of operating systems and network devices. + SSBI background investigation. SSCP or equivalent computer system certifications for CSSP Infrastructure Support of 8570 baseline (or plan to become certified within 30 days after start date). + General experience must include actual experience related to programs or systems addressed in the Performance Work Statement (PWS), including the ability to write systems scripts and improve automation functions of research computer systems.
