We are currently recruiting a Commodity Manager experienced in purchasing and sourcing with technical knowledge in injection molded plastics, sheet metal, cable assemblies, and packaging. As the Commodity Manager, you will develop and maintain key supplier relationships with manufacturers and distributors. Your connections with senior management and decision makers will be critical in the collaboration between Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain. What you will do in the position: Coordinate supply chain management, strategically sourcing Understand how to read and work from engineering drawings and documentation Analyze market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and that technology is of highest quality at lowest total cost Partner with Supply Chain, Quality, and Engineering to identify new sources of supply and selection for existing and new products Create a direct pipeline with direct manufactures, 2nd tier manufacturers, and distributors Develop and maintain knowledge of market conditions, trends, sources of supply and supplier capabilities for commodities managed Utilize LEAN material flow initiatives and optimizing supply base opportunities Create and deliver quarterly business reviews for manufacturers and distributors within the Supplier Management Program Resolve complex problems relating to supplier quality and service, contract disputes, and other discrepancies. Produce and maintain an Approved Supplier List What you will need to succeed in this position: Experience with supplier and commodity management in electronic devices, and electronics manufacturing environment, is essential Proven success sourcing electronic components such as injection molded plastics, sheet metal, cable assemblies, and packaging is essential 6 years' experience in the procurement and sourcing of build to print parts Strong computer skills with advanced knowledge of Excel BA/BS (college graduate) - preferred Some travel (approximately 10%) At HME you will have the opportunity to learn and grow while developing our future products.
