Job Description

Title Cloud Operations Support Engineer Location Open Organization Technology Infrastructure Job Overview As a Cloud Operations Support Engineer, you will assist in the delivery of world-class cloud solutions for the office of the Deputy CIO of Technology by providing operational support on cloud-related services. This includes taking a support role in the cloud architecture and engineering practice. You will support solutions that enable rapid adoption of new cloud services and help drive transformation for our business and IT processes. Your responsibilities will include supporting cloud solutions based on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), Azure and other platforms as assigned. You will be challenged to find solutions to problems that arise during the rapid adoption of new cloud services. Responsibilities bull Provide level 23 support for operational issues involving Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Azure. bull Monitor and resolve incidents, changes, and requests reported in ServiceNow and via e-mail. bull Work with architecture and engineering teams to ensure that appropriate documentation is created to resolve level 2 support issues. bull Escalate complex operational issues to level 3 support as needed. bull Quickly learn how to support new cloud technologies as they are rolled out within the organization bull Ensure that all operational solutions follow security and compliance controls. bull Be a trusted operational support advisor for Cloud Users initiatives by providing objective, practical and relevant ideas, insights and advice bull Participate in on-call rotation queue. Primary Qualifications bull Bachelorrsquos degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or relevant experience and accomplishments bull Minimum of 3 years work experience in any of the Leading Cloud Service Provider Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Azure Cloud Platform. bull Thorough understanding of Cloud Computing virtualization technologies, Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service and Software as a Service Cloud delivery models and the current competitive landscape bull Real world IT infrastructure management experience. (Servers, Virtualization, Storage, Networking, Applications). bull Programming and scripting skills Python, Node.js, Java, JavaScript. bull Thorough understanding of infrastructure (firewalls, load balancers, storage, monitoring, security etc.) and have experience with orchestration to develop a cloud solution. bull Build and automate the provisioning of infrastructure resources to support custom stacks, primarily leveraging scripting for deployment automation bull Willingness and ability to learn how to support multiple Cloud platforms bull Ability to work a schedule that accommodates on call support hours. bull Good communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately with corporate executives and technical teams. bull Good influencing and reasoning skills good at conflict resolution and consensus building bull Open to limited business travel ( 10) Please send me your updated resume and we will take it forward.
