Job Description:

The Client Account Administrator is responsible for the preparation of billing statements for key clients and handling all aspects of the electronic process for the firm's client billing. This role will maintain positive contact with clients and observe confidentiality of client matter issues, collect outstanding accounts, prepare financial reports, in addition to compiling statistical and financial data reporting.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Preparation of billing statements for key clients, reviewing and correcting errors in time entries and disbursement charges, trace incorrect charges or credits and delete or transfer to the proper matters to effect correct billing.
  • Review final invoices for accuracy and data integrity, ensuring invoices are in compliance with client's billing guidelines.
  • Ensure that invoices have proper approvals consistent with the firm's policies and procedures including monitoring e-bill validation, approvals and rejected invoices.
  • Research and resolve invoice rejection issues.
  • Monitor, maintain, and follow up with attorneys regarding budgets.
  • Administer the collection process with client: maintain accurate records of checks, invoices, and history for billings, send monthly letter of outstanding invoices, and monitor payment status.
  • Work closely with attorneys to prepare accrual reports and quarterly accrual forecasts and determine scope of collection activity.
  • Prepare all needed data to assist in the collections of Perkins Coie accounts receivables.
  • Assist in ad hoc reporting requests and annual audit confirmation between clients and firm.
  • Administer and maintain all spreadsheets needed by Perkins Coie to reconcile to client audit figures.

Required Qualifications
  • Ability to accurately type 75-wpm
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation, form and style
  • Excellent attention to details and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively multitask and prioritize
  • Demonstrated Research and analytical skills for use in problem solving work and recommending solutions to complex problems
  • Familiarity with basic office equipment in the legal environment, billing and collection procedures.
  • Ability to operate computer and perform word processing techniques.

Education & Experience

Requires a Bachelor's Degree, and minimum of 3 - 4 years relevant administrative and general accounting experience or equivalent. Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience with 3E accounting software and familiarity with electronic billing systems

This position may be filled in Denver and in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay Act, the compensation range in Denver for this position is $63,730.00 - $79,210.00, depending on qualifications and experience.
