Job Description

ICF is seeking a Claims Assistant to support the dedicated contract with the Pennsylvania Underground Storage Tank Indemnification Fund "PAUSTIF". The Claims Assistant works with our project team to evaluate and audit environmental remediation invoices submitted for reimbursement on open eligible claims. The Claims Assistant has a direct impact on their community and local environment, helping ensure remediation invoices are reasonable and necessary eligible expenses associated with the clean-up of contamination in soil and groundwater that arise from releases from underground storage tank systems.Our Claim Assistants are dedicated to our PAUSTIF client alone, facilitating an excellent work-life balance and a predictable 9-5 Monday-Friday schedule. Key Responsibilities: Review, evaluate, & recommend reimbursement on environmental remediation invoicesProvide administrative support to Claim Representatives preparing and finalizing communications, such as memos, emails, reports and other correspondencePrepare and revise documents in MS Word and ExcelEnter data in specialized Claims Tracking System, Riskmaster™File documents in ImageRight™ document management system Required Qualifications: 2 years recent experience in accounting/invoicing and administrative/clerical work2 years of recent experience in Microsoft Office applications Preferred Skills/Experience: Insurance industry experience or experience in underground storage tank environmental remediation activities is preferredExperience using ImageRight™ and/or Riskmaster™ software Professional Skills: Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skillsStrong Organizational and analytical capabilitiesProficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, Outlook, Excel are key)Professional demeanor and manners, cooperative attitudeTeam player with ability to work closely with all levels of staff, as well as outside clientAbility to take initiative to resolve issues, work independently, and seek guidance when required Working at ICF Working at ICF means applying a passion for meaningful work with intellectual rigor to help solve the leading issues of our day.
