JOB SUMMARY

This position is for a CICS Systems Programmer and a member of the Mainframe Systems Support team that will primarily be accountable for ensuring a highly available mainframe system. This results-oriented job requires a solid understanding of mainframe sub-subsystems in a large scale parallel sysplex IBM zEnterprise environment. The primary functions of this role are: 1) Install, upgrade, and manage CICS/MQ environments 2) Support the IBM Z Mainframe z/OS environment using SMP/E and 3) Install and maintain third party software products related to CICS/MQ

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Serves on teams in clearly defining, with the customer, requirements, deliverables and timeframes. Escalates issues and makes recommendations to resolve them to the appropriate audience.

+ Conducts root cause analysis to identify and resolve complex problems impacting IT Infrastructure.

+ Develops and/or delivers technical training in complex technical areas.

+ Completes project tasks to enable the on time, within budget and scope delivery of IT Infrastructure projects.

+ Assures compliance to required standards, procedures, guidelines and processes.

+ Other duties as assigned or requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum

+ High School Diploma or equivalent is required

+ 1-3 years of experience in Information Technology

Preferred

+ Experience in the following essential: z/OS concepts and utilities, TSO, JES2, SMP/e, JCL, RDO, DFHCSDUP and IBM Utilities
