Job Description

Position Summary

The Channel Marketing Specialist, Retail will lead a specific channel of Wayne Dalton retail marketing and merchandising for a big box retailer. This position reports to our Brand Manager of Marketing and requires a dedicated, self-motivated, energetic individual who will have experience in retail brand management, project management, and account management to lead cross functional teams to support retail marketing efforts within the Access Systems Division of Overhead Door Corporation.

Key areas of responsibility include: In-store appearance (displays, stock product, overall messaging, and associate communication), new product integrations, digital marketing (e-commerce), brand strategy and positioning, development and execution of strategic marketing plans, marketing analytics, and a high-degree of communication and partnership with internal and external stakeholders at all levels within the organization.

Position Responsibilities

  • Partner with the category sales director, retail partners, product management, and the brand manager to own brand appearance by way of: the design and execution of retail packaging and display management, in-aisle activations and online visualization.
  • Own online visualization, creative, & partner with cross functional teams to lead product strategy. Use analytical and strategic thinking skills to provide innovative product and merchandising ideas to drive revenue
  • Partner with the brand marketing team to develop and/or optimize brand positioning, messaging, creative, and brand health measurement for our garage door product within the retail environment
  • Partner with the customer care teams and the territory service network to develop best in class training/communication for retail associates
  • Maintain contact with retail sales managers and retailer partners to update and replace in-store display elements
  • Act as POC for all retail marketing initiatives and lead cross functional efforts
  • Measures, reports out and optimizes the marketing plans based on results.
  • Owns digital and PR strategies and content development.
  • Partner with brand and product managers to develop plans and presentations for line review
  • Assist in developing the annual retail marketing budget, and manage the monthly spend within forecast.
