TRAVEL: 5% Travel expected

COMPENSATION: The pay range for this position is $21-28/hour.

The base salary will vary based on criteria such as education, experience and qualifications of the applicant, location, internal equity, and alignment with the market.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT 

The Category Specialist will serve as a best-in-class sales support expert capable of serving new and developing BSN customers alongside the field sales team and corporate category manager. You will be responsible for activities that advance revenue growth, customer support, and client/coworker relationships. The ability to provide resources and assistance in prospecting and qualifying new leads, develop professional connections, and educate BSN Field Sales Professionals in the specified category is crucial. This position focuses on corporate category growth through the support of Category and Field teammates, thereby laying the foundation to make every BSN SPORTS customer feel as important as they are.

WHAT YOU WILL DO 

  • Drive category sales via phone and email marketing campaigns.
  • Support inside and outside sales teams within the category.
  • Work with merchandising and buying teams to confirm vendor costs and discounts.
  • Understand sales objectives and work with sales team to achieve them.
  • Monitor category trends and customer feedback to ensure quality customer service.
  • Work with project coordinators and outside vendors

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of two years of customer service and/or sales experience
  • A minimum of two years of industry experience
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS  

The physical demands that are described as required are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.   

  •  This job operates in a remote home office environment. Largely a sedentary role with some filing requiring the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary. Ability to sit or stand for long periods through meetings and while operating office equipment, PC’s, laptop, telephone will be required.​

  • 5% travel expected
