Job Description

Overview

Sells Exclusive Vacations/Club Adventures products and services to clubs throughout the AAA Federation. Builds relationships with travel agents and club leadership throughout a designed territory through education, sales and support. Follows up regularly with travel agents on leads and works to assist travel agents in closing sales. Travels throughout territory promoting the benefits of Exclusive Vacations/Club Adventures products and supporting marketing efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing an optimal sales and partnerships strategy which meets the aggressive long term revenue goals.

Responsibilities

Meets or exceeds monthly and quarterly revenue goals by working in conjunction with assigned AAA clubs on adoption of Club Adventure products by working with, and training, travel agents on both retail and group opportunities - following up and closing group opportunities.

Attends networking events, conferences, and trade shows and conducts continual cold call prospecting by email and telephone to create new relationships.

Align campaigns with sales initiatives, co-operative marketing, National Account marketing, trainings, new product launches and/or policy changes, helping to create a strong sales strategy for your assigned territory.

Creates presentations to promote the EV travel product to prospective clients. Presents product quotations and marketing plans as needed. Creates reports and price quotes.

Ensures that leadership is fully apprised of competitive activities related to travel offerings, pricing, vendors, special offers, events, and related activities that impact market positioning, sales, profit and competitive strategy. Includes research, relationship information, industry and association reports, etc. and developing periodic presentations and recommendations to Travel leadership.

Keeps abreast of changing trends in the travel industry; attends training when needed.

Performs other job-related duties as required for AAA Northeast; adhering to all applicable policies and procedures.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required

Associated degree in Business /Travel or related preferred

5+ Travel Experience
