About the job:
The Red Hat Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Channel team is looking for a Business Development Manager, Ecosystem Expansion to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our global, EMEA, and regional teams to understand the changes in the channel ecosystem, technology acquisition trends and develop strategies to ensure we have the right mix of experienced partners as the market evolves. You will be responsible for understanding our channel ecosystem partner mix, how that maps to new technologies and emerging trends in customer technology acquisition. In addition, you'll be responsible for developing strategies to grow and manage the right ecosystem mix to ensure Red Hat is positioned for the changes in the market.
This is a senior role responsible for building relationships with the global channel organization, aligning on strategic initiatives and projects, and delivering against those. As a Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for developing strategies to identify partner types and profiles that can help Red Hat increase future business, finding and recruiting those partners, and developing them as productive members of our partner ecosystem. You'll need an excellent understanding of the software industry, have a keen understanding of the evolving enterprise software market and trends, and experience in Partner recruitment and Partner development.
This role can be based in any country in EMEA where Red Hat has an office. Successful applicants must reside in a country where Red Hat is registered to do business.
What you will do:
Build excellent relationships with the Global Channel organization to align and deliver against strategic organizational goals
Build relationships with Red Hat Global and EMEA next generation software experts to keep abreast of Red Hat's vision of the future software landscape and propositions to address
Identify ecosystem trends as customer software acquisition trends change, and monitor our channel mix to ensure we have the right partners in the correct regions
Create strategies to profile, identify and find, and recruit new partners where required.
Develop and manage new partners through their initial Red Hat journey (3,6,9, 12 months)
Identify under-engaged partners who have the potential to be the next generation and develop them to become fully productive members of the ecosystem
Travel within EMEA and Internationally as required
What you will bring:
Excellent cross-functional communication and consultative selling skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
10+ years of experience in enterprise sales, business development, or partner management
4+ years of early partner recruitment and development experience
Keen interest in enterprise technology, trends, and future use cases
Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline, MBA is a plus
