It is in this context that we are looking for a Business Development Manager - International. Your reason for being at JAVELOT is as follows:

As a business development manager, working in the international development team, you’re responsible for sourcing and bringing to signature projects in territories where Javelot does not have operations yet. Your job might take you to Italy, Denmark, Sweden, the UK, Bulgaria or Ireland in 2024 (and beyond later).

Your missions include, among others:

  • You identify the target accounts in your territories
  • You proactively contact your target accounts via phone and emails
  • You qualify the needs of other organizations through the MEDDIC methodology
  • You lead demos and workshops supported by Operations teams
  • You manage sales cycles end-to-end
  • You work closely with the operations team to ensure customer satisfaction during the projects implementation
  • You keep opening doors and filling your pipeline with new opportunities
  • You regularly organize and participate in business development trips
  • You represent Javelot at industry events
  • You understand the geopolitical and strategic aspects of the cereal storage data and entertain relationships with key stakeholders in the region
  • You report to the head of international development
  • You will support Javelot achieve its objective to monitor 50% of grain stored in Europe by end of 2026

Requirements

Who you are:

  • You have 3+  years of experience in sales and/or business development. Either at a tech or service supplier in the farming industry, or at a farming cooperative or grain trading company
  • You have managed sales cycles in complex decision making environments. You have applied MEDDIC and SPIN methodologies or you are eager to learn them
  • You are able to drive pipeline generation and conversion by yourself
  • You wish to contribute to change the industry and support its energetic and technological transition
  • You are looking for a healthy and dynamic work environment to take your next challenge
  • You have a great sense of communication, initiative, innovation, negotiation and curiosity, that will allow you to perform in this position
  • You are sensitive to the issue of eco-responsibility and want to give meaning to your function
  • You’re self starter who doesn’t wait for a project to be given to them to get active
  • You have a pedagogical spirit
  • You speak English and at least one other European language
