Job Description SEI’s Asset Management Distribution (AMD) business distributes SEI asset management solutions globally, with a focus in the US, Canada and the UK. We establish relationships with distribution partners whose advisors in turn support retail end consumers with our solutions. SEI Canada’s AMD team has an immediate opening for a Business Development Consultant (BDC). A successful BDC must understand the advisor marketplace, effectively communicate SEI’s Investment Philosophy, and develop and maintain advisor and distributor relationships. Candidates, ideally, would be bi-lingual. This is an office based role, remote and SEI offices, focused on developing advisor relationships working with and in support of assigned Relationship Manager(s). What you'll do: Responsible for supporting the proactive gathering of new assets and retaining assets in conjunction with the national sales strategy. Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with distributors and their advisors, educating advisors on SEI’s Investment Philosophy and solutions, and promoting relevant strategies for utilizing them. Daily activities include outbound sales and prospecting calls, supporting distribution partner focused meetings, and supporting queries from preferred partners and prospects. Responsible for supporting and conducting advisor presentations as well as coverage of industry/advisor/dealer events. Also responsible for supporting tactical business plans, within the parameters of the overall channel business plan. What you bring to the role: This role requires an effective communication skill set; both written and verbal. Bi-lingual language skills are considered an asset for this role. Business degree preferred. Additional advanced degrees or certifications a plus. Relevant industry courses such as CSC required. CIM or the ability to obtain within 12 months. A minimum of 5 years experience in financial services, with prior investment sales experience preferred. Effective consultative sales and relationship management skills. Excellent administrative and computer software skills.
