As the Business Development Manager your primary responsibility will be to drive our revenue expansion efforts. You will play a pivotal role in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and maximising revenue streams for OnBuy.
You will develop and implement effective strategies to drive revenue growth, increase market share, and enhance our competitive positioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy that aligns with OnBuy’s overall revenue objectives and growth targets.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to inform business development initiatives.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong relationships (virtually and face to face) with clients, partners, and stakeholders to enhance business opportunities and maximise revenue potential.
- Opportunity Identification: Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including partnerships, collaborations, acquisitions, and product/service expansions, to drive revenue growth.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, including prospecting, lead generation, qualification, and conversion, to meet revenue targets.
- Proposal Development: Lead the preparation of persuasive and tailored proposals, presentations, and contract negotiations to secure new business opportunities.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to ensure effective alignment and support for revenue-generating initiatives.
- Forecasting and Reporting: Monitor and analyse sales performance, revenue metrics, and market trends to generate accurate forecasts and insightful reports for senior management.
- Competitive Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to identify areas of differentiation and opportunities for revenue growth.
BenefitsThe salary range on offer for this role is £40,000 per annum (up to £90,000 OTE), depending on experience.
In return for helping us to grow, we’ll offer you company equity. That’s on top of your salary and in addition to our other benefits.
RequirementsEssential
- Proven track record of success in revenue generation and business development, preferably within the e-commerce or online marketplace industry.
- Extensive experience in sales, account management, and strategic partnership development.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and trends.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage and influence key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically, identify opportunities, and drive revenue growth.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a strong entrepreneurial mindset.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales tracking tools.
