Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Business Development Executive position is part of a high-performing Sales team focused on the continued growth of the CuneXus client base and is responsible for selling solutions to an assigned territory of U.S. financial institutions. The Business Development Executive reports to the Managing Director, CuneXus Sales and is responsible for delivering net new sales for the company.

Job Responsibilities:

Drive expected value out of a target region/market across banking and credit union verticals.

Identify and qualify prospects via targeted networking, internal inbound lead generation, regional leadership initiatives, existing client relationships, phone prospecting, and email.
  • Continually develop new prospects to build and manage a sustained pipeline of at least $1 Million in new ARR.
  • Identify prospect buying behavior and orient the proven CuneXus sales process to drive them toward a decision.
  • Engage multiple C-Suite roles such as compliance, marketing, and lending to ensure consistent product messaging and gain cross-departmental support.
  • Uncover key components of the lender challenges at the various prospect stakeholders to drive 'Why' the prospect is interested and then translate and demonstrate how the platform solves the prospect's perceived challenges.
  • Coordinate and execute the development, delivery, and presentation of proposals.
  • Coordinate and execute the development, delivery and presentation of Business Cases and ROI statements.
  • Deal with complex negotiations at the executive level and be able to show value over budget.
  • Collaborate with Client Services to accurately scope and document work to be performed for clientele, ensuring a smooth transition to the implementation/project team and a superior level of client satisfaction
  • Be accountable for accurate forecasting
  • Collaborate, develop, and lead strategies to win complex and large accounts
  • Provide timely feedback to sales peers, sales leadership, product management and marketing on developing industry trends, new product ideas, and competitive intelligence

Job Requirements:

(List of general education, background and experience, knowledge, skills and abilities typically required to effectively perform the responsibilities of the job. Also include any required licenses and/or designations.)
  • 10+ years of experience in a professional environment, preferably in sales operations or marketing
  • 5+ years of consumer lending experience at a credit union or bank.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Prior underwriting experience is preferred
  • Ability to communicate and sell key concepts to multiple levels of internal and client leadership (i.e., C-Suite, Sales, Legal, Operations, and Technical).
  • Ability to develop long term close working relationships based on trust and respect.
  • Requires strong negotiation, decision making, problem solving and communication skills
  • Analytical skills are required to determine client business needs and requirements
  • General knowledge of financial and/or payment solutions technology including systems, applications and banking practices.
  • Ability to work as part of integrated teams.
  • Ability to follow-up with and then manages the details at multiple levels across multiple tasks.
  • Strong understanding of Compliance Systems value proposition and differentiators.
  • Ability to remain calm under various levels of pressure
  • Requires the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management (internally/externally), employees, clients and public
  • Excellent independent time management abilities.
  • Problem solving abilities.
  • Superior proficiency in Microsoft® Windows environment, Microsoft® Office, Internet, Email, general computer environment.
  • A fair amount of travel is required.

*Position is open to remote employment, preferably within the Eastern Time Zone.
