Job Description

Sand Cherry is looking for a Business Analyst who will play a crucial role in identifying, improving, and developing technology solutions that drive strategic goals. This role will function as a liaison and analyst between the business and systems teams. This is a remote position. All qualified candidates MUST be authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship or C2C.



  • Engage with Business and Technical partners to identify, develop, document, and validate business requirements
  • Advise and support the business and development teams to prioritize and shape backlog using Agile practices 
  • Facilitate all backlog refinement meetings and work with stakeholders to ensure all stories covered in refinements are updated and ready for the team to review
  • Create, update, and review all requirements and perform gap analysis
  • Interpret and research information on various design documents
  • Work with stakeholders to provide development teams with defined user stories and business-motivated acceptance criteria
  • Works with team to define a solution and break the solution down into features and requirements
  • Work with team to document high-level processes that drive requirements and their context 
  • Owns creation of RTM (Requirements Traceability Matrix)
  • Facilitate meetings at multiple levels of the organization 
  • Be the liaison between lines of business and the development team, and work with a wide range of stakeholders and collaborate with teams
  • Proactively support the uplift of Agile practices and champion the culture of continual improvements

We are looking for an experienced, communicative team member who understands the enterprise broadband business and can operate in an environment transitioning to Agile. This candidate will have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Telecommunications, Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in writing business requirements
  • Proven 3-5 years experience in SDLC, software development processes and procedures
  • Experience with Inventory Management systems
  • Experience with Blue Planet or Granite technologies 
  • Experience working in the Telecommunications industry a plus
  • Excellent Stakeholder Management, Negotiation & Communication Skills
  • Experience with Agile, JIRA, and Smartsheet is required
  • Knowledge of Scrum theory, rules, and practices
  • Knowledge of engineering apps and services, telecom networks, and engineering systems a plus
  • Knowledge of project management principles and the ability to apply the principles, tools, and techniques to develop/plan, manage or execute projects or work plans to ensure successful completion (e.g., on time, within budget)


For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado, Sand Cherry Associates is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. This is a long-term consulting engagement, with an hourly range of $55-$70. Years of experience, level of education, geographic location, unique skills/qualifications for the specific role and potential certifications can be key factors in the final compensation for this role.
