Job Description

Under the general supervision of a Director, the Business Analyst is a member of team providing client services relative to Inmar's Pharmacy Performance Analytics product.

The Business Analyst possesses the ability to understand data as well as business strategy. The incumbent gains a deep knowledge of the different pharmacy supply chain business processes and links data insights to actionable business insights, using storytelling techniques to get the message across or provide a needed answer.

Primary Accountabilities:
  • Operational: Participate in client-related meetings as needed and provide analysis assistance to account management in preparing business reviews Participate as a member of cross-functional teams that includes data analysts, data engineers, software engineers, and business leaders Manage and complete time-sensitive custom research requests for subscribing clients or partners Responsible for training and onboarding Pharmacy Performance Analytics client users
  • Analytical: Responsible for creating and providing reports and data visualizations on a scheduled or ad hoc basis Collect, analyze and report data to support decisions on day-to-day operations, strategic planning and specific business performance issues Explain variances and trends Identify opportunities to improve data and business processes Work with a variety of data sources - extracting knowledge and actionable information from massive datasets using business intelligence tools Utilize strong Microsoft Excel and SQL skills in order to provide high-quality data analysis and support to clients, internal stakeholders and select media outlets


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Information Technology or a related field 3-5 years of related work experience
  • At least three years of relevant experience in one or more (preferably a combination) of the following fields: Pharmacy, supporting role pharmacy contracting with PBMs, healthcare contracting, data analysis, client services/operations, complex business account services, healthcare and/or financial system backgrounds; or an equivalent combination of training and experience required to complete the essential functions/job responsibilities of the position Advanced Excel (Macros) and Data Analysis skills Basic understanding of descriptive and predictive statistical analysis Familiar with Relational Databases Working knowledge of BI software tools (Looker, Incorta, Tableau, Oracle, etc) strongly preferred Knowledge of Pharmacy Supply Chain business practices
