Base is built on Optimism’s open-source OP Stack. We’re joining as the second Core Dev team working on the OP Stack to ensure it’s a public good available to everyone; and contributing a portion of sequencer revenue to funding public goods.
We’re looking for a Builder Regional Manager, Europe who will help us grow Base’s global footprint. You’ll be responsible for driving Base’s adoption in Europe. Location of work is UK, Germany or France.
What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):
- Recruit and manage a team of Country Leads in Europe
- Be the primary ambassador for Base in your home country
- Incubate and grow the European Base community
- Run scrappy growth initiatives to onboard developers and users
- Design and execute builder GTM strategies and programs (e.g. buildathons, launchpads, fellowships)
- Support builders through mentorship and curating grant funding
- Identify app, accelerator, VC, and distribution partnership opportunities
- Share market intel, community and product feedback with the wider Base team
What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):
Must haves
- Operational experience in a crypto startup/project (founder, early employee, community/growth head)
- Deep connectivity in / understanding of the European crypto, startup and developer market
- A relentless, solutions-oriented self-starter
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- A passion for building a global onchain economy
- Experience managing a high performing team
- Proficiency in at least two European languages
Nice to haves
- Experience creating and scaling a community-driven project
- Experience running GTM and activation campaigns for developers
- Experience setting-up and managing a program for startups (e.g. accelerators, incubators)
- Proficiency in German, French, Spanish and/or Italian
