Candidate must be authorized to work in USA without requiring sponsorship Location 100 REMOTE Duration 3 months w possibility of extension Description Meet with stakeholders to understand business needs for analytics requests. Gather requirements, document, clarify, interpret specifications and review for completeness and accuracy. Design, develop, validate, and perform thorough functional testing of reports, data extracts, visualizations and dashboards utilizing BI tools and data sources such as, including but not limited to Caboodle, Clarity, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, Reporting Workbench, Radar Dashboards, Registry Framework and Data Marts, SlicerDicer, and other Business Intelligence Tools. Monitor performance of analytic solutions and take corrective action to optimize or improve their performance when necessary. Participate in application validation and QA efforts. Manage the inventory of SAP Business Objects-based reports used for published reporting. Assure that the metadata used for the OHIA Report Catalog is meaningful, standardized, complete, accurate, and up to date. Manage the data model for reporting for assigned Epic applications andor business lines. Manage the inventory of Clarity Caboodle objects used for both published and ad hoc reporting. Assure that all object metadata is meaningful, standardized, complete, accurate, and up to date. Identify the requirements gap between Caboodle objects and requirements for assigned tickets and projects. Identify Caboodle gaps as "extension" vs. "missing concept." Identify objects in Clarity or from non-Epic data required to fill the gaps. Using best practices from Data Modeling, design and develop (write data-definition SQL) objects in a manner that is in concert with the Epic Caboodle framework. Manage the measures and metrics for assigned Epic applications andor business lines. Assure that the metadata used for the OHIA Measures and Metrics catalog is meaningful, standardized, complete, accurate, and up to date. Note the content maintained in the Epic Metrics Catalog and use that as an anchor for metrics. Review upgrade documentation related to reporting tools and content, determine the best implementation approach. Evaluate, anticipate, and communicate risks to existing reports and processes, and recommend ways to mitigate those risks. Map source and target data, as well as perform logical model to physical model mapping. Review, translate and transform business requirements into the design of semantic data models. Participate in meetings with technical peers regarding solution design. Develop semantic data models using tools such as, but not limited to, Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services, Azure Analysis Services and SAP Universe Designer. Understand and implement best practices for tuning and optimization. Create technical documentation pertaining to the design and development of semantic data models. Maintain technical proficiency in BI and data warehousing technologies including, but not limited to, Microsoft Stack (SSISSSASSSRS) and SAP Solutions (CrystalWebiUniverse Design). Qualifications Epic Clarity Data Model certification in one or more modules required. Epic build experience in a live environment strongly preferred. Epic implementations experience specific to clinical workflows and order management strongly preferred. 5+ years of experience in a healthcare related organization. 5+ years demonstrated expertise in MS SQL Server or Oracle. Strong SQL Programming Skills (MS SQL ServerOracle platforms). Knowledge of data warehouse concepts, data structures and reporting. Extensive knowledge of SAP Business Objects architecture, functions, features, and capabilities. Extensive knowledge of best practices regarding reporting, workflows, policies, procedures, systems, and culture in the healthcare environment. Strong analytical, problem-solving and metadata skills. Ability to translate business questions and requirements into reports, views, and BI query objects. Experience in gathering, documenting, prioritizing, and tracking requirements.
