Job Description

This is an excellent career opportunity for an experienced Family Based Immigration Paralegal to join our expanding Chicago based law firm.

Our Family Based Immigration practice area is experiencing significant growth, so we are seeking an experienced bilingual (English/Spanish) , skilled, career driven individual to join our team. We are looking for someone that has the ability to provide excellent service to our clients while possessing a "can-do" attitude.

Daily duties will included but not be limited to the following: Assist attorneys in the preparation and filing of immigration applications and petitions with government agencies. Draft legal documents for review by attorneys. Areas of practice include Removal Defense, Asylum, VAWA, U Visas and Family based visas, Permanent Residencies, Naturalization and Consular Processing. You should have familiarity and/or experience with the following:

I-485 I-864
I-130 DS-260
I-360 I-131
I-601 I-601A For Grounds of Inadmissibility

Job Requirements:

Bilingual Fluency in Spanish/English is REQUIRED.

Knowledge & Skills Preferred:

*Must be technology savvy with proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook.
*Experience with case management system is a plus.
*Must have excellent written communication skills.
*Ability to succeed in a busy environment
*Should have 2 years Legal Assistant or Paralegal experience (including any internship experience) within the area of Family Immigration *Must be able to pass criminal background check
