Teach Beginning Basketball Online
Duties & Responsibilities
- Teach and facilitate an online university-level basketball course using the institution’s learning management system, such as Blackboard.
- Develop and organize weekly course content, including instructional videos, readings, discussions, quizzes, and assignments.
- Provide instruction on basketball fundamentals, rules, strategies, conditioning, skill development, and game analysis.
- Communicate regularly with students through announcements, email, discussion boards, and virtual office hours.
- Evaluate and grade student assignments, participation, and assessments in a timely manner.
- Ensure course materials and instruction align with university standards for online learning and accessibility.
Required Competencies
- Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, techniques, rules, and strategies.
- Ability to effectively teach and engage students in an online learning environment.
- Experience with lesson planning, curriculum development, and student assessment.
- Basic technology skills, including video creation/uploading and online communication tools.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience using Blackboard Learn or another learning management system in an educational setting.
- Ability to work remotely and reliably access online teaching technology.
- Ability to meet university deadlines and maintain accurate course documentation.
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
