Lead Azure Consultant - Remote

A growing Data & Analytics consultancy are currently looking for a Lead Azure Consultant to join the team. The Lead Azure Consultant will be confident in advising and leading on the implementation of their recommendations, keeping in constant communication with customers and continually striving for excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

Working with the customer to identify and prioritise business requirements documenting these and specifying solutions to these in functional specifications.
To be the primary contact between the customer and Simpsons Associates.
To be responsible for the quality of the solution and able to identify and mitigate issues at the earliest opportunity.
To design and manage component testing, user acceptance testing and
To manage consultants throughout the project and to provide guidance, mentoring and leadership to them.
To be a technical expert in your field, understanding the relationship between your own specialism and the wider customer and organisational requirements.The successful Lead Azure Consultant will have the following experience:

Previous experience in a senior Data role (Engineer / Manager / Architect) with consultancy experience highly desirable
Extensive experience working with Microsoft BI technologies (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Power BI)
Extensive knowledge of all aspects of Modern Data Platforms including Data Marts and DWH design, Data Lake and Big Data, Near-time and Real-time architectures.
Experience working within a cloud environment, utilising Azure technologies
Experience in leading / managing others
Strong communication skills and stakeholder managementThe salary for this role is relatively open, as the business are keen on securing the strongest talent. The business is currently working fully remote, however once normality is restored, regular travel will be expected in this position. This will include visiting client sites and occasional overnight stay. All travel will be expensed by the business
