We are seeking an experienced Amazon Pinpoint/Lex Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Amazon Pinpoint and a strong understanding of integrating Pinpoint functionalities into custom applications. This role involves working closely with our development team to build a custom UI that combines functionalities from Amazon Connect and Amazon Pinpoint into a unified system. The candidate will also be specialized in developing conversational interfaces using Amazon Lex and integrating them into our custom applications. The role involves creating advanced natural language understanding (NLU) capabilities for our SMS campaigns and agent interfaces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Integrate Amazon Pinpoint functionalities into a custom UI for managing campaign templates and user permissions. 
  • Develop and implement SMS campaigns with advanced features such as customer segmentation, automated responses, and journey management. 
  • Collaborate with the development team to enable integration between Pinpoint and Amazon Connect. 
  • Implement multi-language support for SMS campaigns, including language detection and message translation. 
  • Configure tracking mechanisms for SMS campaign reporting, including message delivery, click-through rates, and opt-in/opt-out metrics. 
  • Provide expertise on optimizing Pinpoint for performance, scalability, and reliability. 
  • Stay updated on the latest features and best practices related to Amazon Pinpoint and Amazon Lex.
  • Design, develop, and integrate Amazon Lex bots into our custom UI and SMS campaigns. 
  • Create and manage a list of utterances and responses specific to different property locations and customer tiers. 
  • Implement agent translation widgets and automated message translation within customer journeys. 
  • Collaborate with the development team to enable agents to intercept active Pinpoint journeys and respond to customers. 
  • Work on detecting customer language preferences and customizing interactions accordingly. 
  • Provide expertise on best practices for designing conversational interfaces and improving user engagement.


Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience working with Amazon Pinpoint and Amazon Lex.
  • Strong understanding of SMS campaign management, customer segmentation, and journey orchestration. 
  • Experience integrating Pinpoint with other AWS services like Amazon Connect. 
  • Proficiency in AWS Cloud services (especially those related to AI) and infrastructure. 
  • Familiarity with multi-language support and message translation mechanisms. 
  • Extensive experience working with Amazon Lex and building conversational interfaces. 
  • Strong understanding of natural language processing (NLP) and NLU. 
  • Experience integrating Amazon Lex bots into custom applications and workflows. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
