Are you passionate about designing systems that streamline processes, eliminate repetitive tasks, and maximize efficiency? Do you excel at creating automated solutions that optimize production, reduce errors, and enhance productivity? If you’re ready to build automation systems that power the future of industrial operations, our client has the perfect role for you. We’re looking for an Automation Engineer (aka The Efficiency Architect) to develop, implement, and maintain automated systems that drive operational success.

As an Automation Engineer at our client, you’ll work closely with engineering, production, and IT teams to design control systems, program PLCs, and implement automation processes that support complex manufacturing and operational needs. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring seamless, efficient operations through reliable, innovative automation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and Implement Automation Solutions:
    • Develop control systems and automation solutions tailored to specific production or operational needs. You’ll analyze requirements and design automation workflows that optimize process efficiency and accuracy.
  2. Program and Configure PLCs and HMI Systems:
    • Write, test, and optimize PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) code for various automation processes. You’ll design Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) to provide operators with intuitive control and monitoring of automated systems.
  3. Integrate and Troubleshoot Sensors and Actuators:
    • Configure and integrate sensors, actuators, and control devices to monitor and execute automated processes. You’ll ensure accurate, real-time data collection for process adjustments and optimization.
  4. Perform System Testing, Validation, and Optimization:
    • Conduct rigorous testing and validation of automation systems to verify performance and reliability. You’ll analyze data and refine processes to achieve optimal operation and minimal downtime.
  5. Collaborate on Process Improvement Projects:
    • Work with cross-functional teams to identify areas for automation and process improvement. You’ll provide insights and solutions that streamline workflows and increase productivity.
  6. Document Automation Processes and Procedures:
    • Maintain detailed documentation of automation code, system configurations, and operating procedures. You’ll ensure clear records for maintenance, troubleshooting, and future upgrades.
  7. Stay Updated on Automation and Control Technologies:
    • Keep current with advancements in automation, control systems, and industrial IoT. You’ll evaluate new tools and technologies that enhance efficiency, flexibility, and scalability.
