Primary Responsibilities:

  • The technical analyst will be responsible for the development of a data repository consisting of provider data and secondary support data from multiple data sources
  • Will initiate and ensure accountability and timely resolution of requests to other business units
  • Creating, debugging, tuning and testing MySQL stored procedures
  • Profile data and understand large amounts of source data available, including structured, semi-structured
  • Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for support area
  • Participates in and support development and QA testing of the application and data base changes
  • Participates and support production deployment and post production support of code changes
  • Perform large scale technical/data analysis to identify and resolve issues with data quality and provide reports of corrective actions to team leadership
  • Record work performed or identified as needed
  • Utilize software resources to optimize productivity and ensure work quality
  • Understand and execute detailed processes based on guidelines and staff guidance
  • Self-starter needing minimal guidance, keen to learn and experiment with new technologies, be able to work independently and as a team player

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of hands on development experience using the Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL Programming Language
  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience working with Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to create and deploy packages as part of ETL processes
  • Solid understanding of relational database concepts
  • Working knowledge of data structures, algorithms and SQL queries
  • Develop, implement Database Objects like Tables, Views, Functions, Stored procedures using T-SQL
  • Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements
  • United States Citizenship- SF86 Language --Ability to obtain favorable adjudication following submission of Department of Defense eQuip Form SF86
  • If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. When in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are required to wear a mask in common areas. In addition, employees must comply with any state and local masking orders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analysis or equivalent work experience)
  • Vast experience with Python (Programming Language),& SQL
  • Solid experience with Debugging
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) for creating and publishing reports
  • Solid technical knowledge of SQL, LINUX, etc.
  • Active programming skills such as Python, Java, SQL
  • Complex Problem Solving
  • Familiarity with business analysis activities, such as elicitation, requirement documentation and communication and resolution assessment and validation

As a requirement of UnitedHealth Group's contract with the Department of Defense, this position requires U.S. citizenship and proof of favorable adjudication following submission of Department of Defense eQuip Form SF86 , (the National Agency Check Legal and Credit or NACLC ). Successful completion of the NACLC process is a requirement for continued employment in this role. NACLC processing will be initiated by our TRICARE Security Officer post-offer and can take 3-6 months for a final decision communication from the Department of Defense. Candidates will be allowed to begin employment with UnitedHealth Group in this role based on an interim clearance, and final results will be communicated as they are received. Failure to obtain final NACLC approval will result in termination from this role.

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $64,800 to $116,000.
