BillionToOne is seeking an Associate Director of Talent Acquisition, Oncology to champion the recruitment of top talent of oncology specialists in supporting our ambitious goals to be the first medical diagnostics company to be in the S&P 500. The ideal candidate has experience setting and maintaining a high bar for incoming talent at a fast-paced, growing diagnostics company who has launched a commercial oncology product. The Associate Director of Talent Acquisition, Oncology is a remote position and will report to the Senior Director of People Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Build a scalable recruiting function that attracts and identifies brilliant, kind, passionate, and dedicated candidates to join the high-performing oncology team.
- Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle while ensuring an exceptional candidate experience.
- Manage the recruiting team to ensure best practices in candidate sourcing, interviewing, and selection.
- Partner with executive leadership to align recruitment initiatives with strategic business objectives.
- Analyze recruitment trends and provide insights and recommendations to enhance talent acquisition efforts.
- Promote the company culture and employer brand to position BillionToOne as an employer of choice.
- Drive diversity and inclusion in recruitment practices to support a diverse workforce.
- Budget management for recruitment activities and resources.
Required experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years experience in talent acquisition, with at least 3 years in a leadership role at a high-growth start-up.
- Must have experience leading a recruiting function at a medical diagnostics company specializing in the oncology space, with experience building commercial teams.
- Proven track record of developing and fulfilling strategic recruiting plans.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Deep understanding of recruitment processes and candidate selection methods.
- Proficiency with recruiting systems (Greenhouse, Gem, TalentWall).
- Experience working remotely, with high accountability and responsiveness.
- Experience coaching hiring managers and helping them develop strategic recruiting plans.
- Track record of thriving under pressure and deadlines.

At BillionToOne, we are proud to offer a combination of a (1) base pay range (actual amount offered is based on experience and salary/equity options split that the candidate chooses), (2) generous equity options offering, on top of (3) industry-leading company benefits (free healthcare options, 401k match, very generous fully paid parental leave, etc.).
For this position, we offer a total compensation package of $314,750 per year, including a base pay range of $180,000 to $200,000 per year.
