You will be responsible for operational and strategic oversight for the Monitoring and Outreach unit in Research and Project Administration (RPA). The unit provides monitoring, compliance, and outreach support for both Grants and Contracts (G&C) and Research Financial Management (RFM). You will report to the Senior Director, RPA.You will:Be responsible for the activities of the research development and outreach team. The team oversees funding and research development as well as training and outreach efforts in support of comprehensive lifecycle sponsored programs and financial management.Implement and operationalize strategies that support financial and sponsored programs compliance with federal and non-federal sponsor and institutional regulations, including OMB Uniform Guidance.Partner with ORPA leadership and other key stakeholders.Evaluate and implement processes to monitor financial compliance, across pre- and post-award as applicable, determining areas of risk for non-compliance and working with appropriate leadership and staff to mitigate potential areas of risk.Manage and provide oversight for MSK's effort reporting process. This includes recommending system and process enhancements in support of timely and accurate effort reporting.Promote practices and programs that address sponsor and institutional regulations, research financial and non-financial compliance, and holistic portfolio management.Direct and supervise the Monitoring and Outreach team. This includes Compliance Managers and Manager, Research Development, and Outreach.You Need:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience4- 7 years of experience in sponsored research financial management and compliance2-4 years of supervisory experience required2-4 years experience in lifecycle sponsored programs management (including pre and post-award, outreach, and education) is preferredExperience working in a sponsored projects environment in an Academic / Medical or Research InstitutionSuccessful candidates may choose whether they would prefer to be remote (with twice-yearly visits to the NYC office) or hybrid with the flexibility to come into our NYC offices.
