We're searching for an Associate Creative Director to help us derive insights, shape creative strategies, and make great campaign concepts that everyone can get behind, and have fun while doing it. As an Associate Creative Director, you'll bring a depth and breadth of understanding in various design tools and methods. And know the time it takes to employ them and leverage them to produce creative work that is as beautiful as it is meaningful.

Reporting to the Creative Director, you will be working with, and help lead a creative team made up of writers, designers, illustrators, and animators. You know, creatives, people like you. Day-to-day you'll guide the team in distilling the essence of Yelp's brand personality into visual communications that connect with our audience-in other words, telling great stories that our customers want to see and hear. To accomplish this, you'll be responsible for translating marketing objectives and defining clear creative strategies and concepts that can be designed and delivered on time-ultimately creating solutions that drive measurable impact for our partners and customers.

This is a full-time remote role based in the United States.

Where You Come In:
You'll be responsible for defining creative strategy while being both a manager and maker.
You'll lead one to two teams in producing work from conceptual creative to production level assets.
You'll be responsible for working with internal partners to define creative strategies and Yelp's brand styles.
You'll work proficiently across multiple platforms, channels, and media types.
You'll work to derive customer insights to inform creative strategies which fuel our creative briefs and team(s).
You'll drive-cross functional meetings, define partnerships with cross-functional peer, and contribute to the ongoing development team member's process, methods, and culture overall.
You'll understanding peripheral processes, i.e., print, interactive and mobile platforms.
You'll act as an integral member of the design organization, supporting recruiting and hiring practices.
You'll actively lead team critiques and reviews and be open to opinions and perspectives that challenge existing beliefs and evolve their stance based on new information.
You'll help set up and art direct photo and video shoots as needed.

What it Takes to Succeed:
You have roughly 10-15 years' experience delivering multiple creative campaigns and have led solutions for undefined problem spaces as part of individual projects.
You are versatile, open-minded, compassionate and empathetic.
You have demonstrable experience working effortlessly across a variety of marketing channels and mediums including print and digital advertising.
You have experience in interaction design with a general working knowledge of motion graphics, wayfinding, and packaging design.
You thrive at the disciplines of creative strategy paired with graphic design, brand identity, and visual design.
You possess strong design fundamentals; layout, color, composition, typography, and use of imagery.
You have excellent working knowledge of Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, and yes, Google Docs Editors Suite.
You have fundamental written communication skills that can be employed for brand storytelling or guiding a user through an experience.
You have meticulous crafting and attention to design and copy details.
You have excellent communication and presentation skills.
You ideally have experience designing for a B2B and or B2C product-based company.
