Essential Functions Responsible for developing and maintaining web based applications in support of unmanned rocket launches from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, FL and Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA Assists Project Managers, Software Architects, Clients and other Application Developers in requirements gathering, analysis, design, and project planning for software application development Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel Performs moderately complex modification, testing, and debugging tasks on vendor supplied utilities and packages to ensure fit with current operating environment Designs, codes, and maintains complex applications to ensure applications are efficient and updated on a regular basis Develops and implements web parts and customization of SharePoint sites leveraging Visual Studio and .NET technologies to include non-standard functionality Implements new features and optimizes existing functionality in applications based on business requirements Participates in design reviews, code reviews, test plan reviews, and documentation reviews Develops and implements test plans for new and existing applications/functionality based on requirements Reviews and edits program and user documentation for applications to ensure that customer access to product is efficient and user-friendly Develops and maintains project plans, requirements and design documents, and other system documentation Develops and maintains work procedures and instructions Required Skills Ability to work effectively within a dynamic, diverse, and team-oriented environment Ability to prioritize and deal with frequent change Ability to meet new challenges with an open mind and optimistic response Ability to follow approved policies and guidelines Ability to work independently with minimal supervision to achieve project milestones and deadlines Self starter with desire for continuous learning and greater responsibility Required Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience Master's degree is desirable Minimum of eight (8) years' experience developing software applications with Microsoft Visual Studio Significant recent experience with the following: Entity Framework SQL Server 2008/2012 (T-SQL Query, Stored Procedure development and optimization) Team Foundation Server Web Services (RESTful or Web API), XML HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery AngularJS .NET 4.x Framework (C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, VB.NET,MVC 5, Razor) Experience with defect tracking processes and tools, and with source code version control processes and tools Solid understanding of object-oriented programming in an n-tier architecture Significant recent experience with two or more of the following: SharePoint 2013- Agile methodologies Telerik Controls Service Oriented Architecture Windows Presentation Foundation Additional Eligibility Requirements Current Security+ or CISSP certification or ability to obtain and maintain one of these certifications within six months of employment Requires occasional adjusted work hours (nights, weekends, holidays) to meet important product delivery deadlines and to support launches Ability to travel on occasion Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Naturalization Must be fully vaccinated from the COVID-19 virus, which means two weeks have passed since a single-shot vaccine or the second dose of a two-shot vaccine.
