As an Application Security Engineer at Network Platform organization you will be a key member of a team that prevents, finds, and fixes vulnerabilities in our products, services, and enterprise. You will partner with teams across the organization to identify and resolve vulnerabilities. You will seek out opportunities to build security into development pipelines and collect the data you need to understand the security posture of our systems.

Network Platform Security Engineers affect change across the entire stack, from the UI and backend. By acting as a guardian of our customers’ networks and deployments, you will have a direct, immediate, and significant impact on our customers and the hundreds of millions of users who rely on access points, switches, security appliances, cameras, and mobile device management solutions every single day.

Example projects for a Security Engineer:

  • Triage findings identified by security tooling for validity.
  • Participate in application penetration tests
  • Share results of vulnerability investigations with Engineering organizations
  • Help create scoping documents for penetration test projects

You are an ideal candidate if you:

  • Interested in Application Security, Penetration testing or vulnerability research
  • Read and write code in Ruby, OR Python, OR Scala (or any other programming language)
  • Feel comfortable using Linux

Bonus points for:

  • A BS/MS/Ph.D in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, Security Engineering, or a STEM field
  • Experience with enterprise cloud solutions and serverless applications
  • Have interest in cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP
