Coinbase’s Asia Pacific Institutional Operations Solutions team provides 24x7 support to customers of the Institutional Business during APAC hours. Team members rotate their focus across multiple functional disciplines, including Treasury, Trading Execution Services, Prime and Exchange Client Services, and play a crucial role in the success of the firm’s global business.

As a relatively small team, each individual is expected to work closely with local management to ensure appropriate support for each function across the wider team. With a broad set of functions present, team-members will be presented with many opportunities to develop technical and functional skills to the level of a subject matter expert.

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):

  • Serve as a key member of the global 24x7 Operating Model for Institutional Operations Solutions; balancing product expertise & client management.
  • Perform crypto and fiat movement, reporting activities and inventory management to facilitate critical client relationships, internal flows and the rebalancing of external trading venues
  • Settle OTC (over-the-counter) trades with counterparties and work with other support teams to troubleshoot trading related issues.
  • Provide direct client service & support to global institutional clients via phone, chat,  email & video calls
  • Facilitate prospect and client demo calls, serving as subject matter specialist on our Institutional product suite of services and answering technical cryptocurrency related questions
  • Drive impactful changes across workflows & tools through partnership with Sales, Engineering, Compliance, Tooling & Product teams
  • Leverage effective project management, conclusive prioritization and efficient execution skills to deliver again job responsibilities
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects spanning multiple months with direct alignment to organizational OKRs
  • Help to serve as the voice of the customer to internal cross-functional teams, including Program Management, Engineering and Product when surfacing bugs, incidents and product feedback

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements): 

  • Willingness to be part of a 24/7 support rotation with a global team, including weekend coverage on a rotational basis.
  • Professional experience coupled with strong operational background and the ability to multitask will be critical
  • Understanding of financial markets and related instruments
  • Familiarity with cryptocurrencies including exchange trading and blockchain transactions.
  • Solid regulatory background and strong risk awareness
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem solving/analytical abilities, and research skills in a fast pace constantly evolving working environment.
  • Fantastic communication skills in order to operate across multiple departments, stakeholders, and clients

Nice to haves:

  • Working knowledge and understanding of derivatives and structured products
