Job Description

Immediate need for a talented Project Manager that brings experience in Agile Transformation within the financial services industry. These are 12-18 month contract opportunities located in downtown NYC (remote until further notice). Candidates must have experience in a role that focuses on high level of transformation programs, within a financial services company. Key Responsibilities Financial Major Banks, Large Transformation Programs, Agile Project Manager leading the planning and implementation of a multi-team, multi-application IT projects enhancing capabilities in Global Capital Markets Technology. Results of a Planning phase will include an Agile Roadmap, Epics and Features that will be implemented by multiple teams. Key activities will be working with Business sponsors on program activities, work with technical and business teams for requirements and architecture, ensuring the project deliverables are completed on time, and Project Management activities including financeresource management. The Project Program Manager must have demonstrated experience working with Business Analysts and Architects to define the requirements and architecture for large-scale multi-application IT development projects. The Project Manager must have demonstrated experience summarizing executive level status and facilitating executive status reviews with senior management. 7-10 years plus experience in project management Project Manager should have experience in managing multiple projects and applications Very good communication skills, with experience having worked with different business stake holders Should have experience communicating, and working closely with different teams such as Infrastructure Teams, QA (testing), business UAT, senior management etc. Should have experience managing and working with vendors (outside companies developing and managing applications). Having prior experience with managing UAT processes, as well as technology deployments, change management etc. Ability to present status to management and Having experience in creating project plans, and executing projects as per plans Experience managing budget for applications and projects Experience with different project management methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall. Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time. Prior experience working with financial services is a required.
