Job Description

The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to join a relatively new organisation at the start of its own journey. Having launched in April 2021, we're excited to welcome an Administrative Assistant to join our small, dynamic, friendly, and expanding team. Your role will be to support and underpin the team.

You will be supplied with excellent IT Equipment. Only very occasional Travel to the South East of England will be required.

Main duties and responsibilities

To support the Executive Assistant in carrying out their duties.

To provide scheduling support to the Council overall including team meetings, managers meetings, board and trustee meetings.

To present a professional first port of call via telephone calls and emails; including monitoring of key Council email inboxes

To provide event production support, assisting the team with plans and delivery of The Councils Event Programme

To book venues for training/meetings/interviews/events under guidance from admin and events managers

From time to time to provide general administrative support for the wider team within the organisation, for example travel and expenses, as required.

To provide occasional administrative support for corporate events and conferences as agreed with the line manager.

To ensure compliance with all UKCSC policies and practices

To provide administrative support in the delivery of projects & initiatives as agreed with the line manager.

To order and maintain office supplies as required for the smooth running of the organisation.

To input information and data into the CRM and other organisation systems

To produce reports and papers as requested by Executive Assistant & CEO

To provide finance admin support as agreed with the Executive Assistant

To take on any other reasonable tasks which contribute to the achievement of the job.

Person specification


  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • To be fully IT literate, particularly to be competent with Office365, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to establish a rapport and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and from all sectors.
  • The ability to work under pressure to cope with multiple demands and deadlines, to work fast and to a consistently high standard.
  • The ability to adapt to new office systems and contact databases and to use them effectively.
  • To be able to write fluently, to think clearly and to grasp new concepts quickly.
  • Educated to a minimum of GCSE B or (Level 6) in English and Maths
  • A 'can-do' attitude. Willing to get stuck in and help your colleagues when required.


  • Educated to degree level standard or equivalent
  • An interest and passion for Technology and/or the Cyber Security industry.
  • Experience of administrative support in a similar organisation
  • An interest in social and multimedia and youth engagement
