As an Actuarial Analyst at UnitedHealth Group, you'll be charged with analyzing some of the world's most complex and abundant stores of data and delivering bold, business-savvy solutions. Primary Responsibilities: Develop and present sound rate recommendations to internal business leaders quarterly Assist in the development of financial forecasts and projections Provide input on market strategy, including but not limited to competitive analyses, ad hoc actuarial studies, and other market specific projects Become a trusted resource to our business leaders and other non-actuarial partners Prepare and submit commercial rate filings You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree 2+ years of Actuarial experience Advanced or higher level of proficiency in MS Excel Proven analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Technical experience If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained Preferred Qualifications: Health rate filing and/or pricing expertise Experience presenting the results of actuarial models/studies to internal business partners and/or external clients Experience with Stop Loss or Level Funded products Beginner level of proficiency with VBA, MS Access, SQL (Structured Query Language), and/or SAS (Statistical Analysis System) Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, including written and verbal forms of communication ASA designation FSA designation MAAA designation Careers at UnitedHealthcare Employer & Individual. Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $64,800 to $116,000.
