As the Accounting Supervisor you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, and be responsible for the training and supervision of the accounting team.  You will report to the Director of Finance with responsibilities extending to general ledger maintenance, budgeting and forecasting, compliance, expense management, cash forecasting and management, software proficiency, participation in ad hoc projects, and the month-end close.  This position requires the ability to exercise good judgment in planning and accomplishing the goals of the accounting department and the company as a whole.  The ability to work independently with minimal supervision, in a multicultural, fast-paced environment, while handling multiple priorities and deadlines with a smile is a must.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing, training, and supervising team members in processing payroll, and internal controls related to Financial Reporting, Labor Accounting, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Inventory, and Tax Compliance.
  • Preparing timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting, closing the month within 3 business days. 
  • Ensuring payroll is processed in a timely and accurate manner (backup capacity).
  • Ensuring that Accounts Payable are reviewed, approved, properly accounted for, and paid in a timely manner.
  • Supporting the Director of Finance in managing banking operations and internal controls over all electronic payment methods, including Brex, Ramp, ACH and wire transfers.
  • Working with the Director of Finance to identify and implement accounting system improvement and continuity plans.
  • Managing and maintaining accurate files in support of Accounting Manager functional responsibilities.
  • Providing ad hoc financial reports or related support as needed.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Track and update budget and forecast monthly.
  • Work with other departments to gather relevant information for budgeting purposes.


  • Assist the Director of Finance manager with financial regulations and standards.

Expense Management:

  • Monitor and control expenses to ensure they align with budgetary guidelines.
  • Investigate and report on variances from the budget.

Software Proficiency:

  • Utilize accounting software and other financial management tools proficiently.
  • Advanced Google Sheet and Excel skills (well versed in V&X Lookup, pivot tables, data cleansing etc)
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in financial procedures and systems.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • 10+ years of experience in Accounting
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, G-Suite, Microsoft, and others).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
