Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and collaborative Accountant that will be responsible for the accounting duties across Voltera, including assisting with financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, assisting with audit preparations, etc. The ideal candidate for this role can work independently, bringing a high degree of critical thinking and analytical skills, and is highly collaborative.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Review and analyze financial data and create reports on financial status
  • Prepare month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing
  • Review general ledger reports for proper coding and cutoff
  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Provide in-depth analysis of operational and project costs
  • Review and analyze monthly variances, investigating and resolving any discrepancies
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs and streamline processes
  • Ensure compliance with sales & use tax reporting requirements
  • Partner with the business to provide timely and accurate reports that lead to positive financial decisions
  • Support internal and external audit and analysis requests as needed
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned

MUST-HAVE:

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field; or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience of relevant accounting experience
  • Ability to adapt to changing business requirements
  • Experience preparing and analyzing general ledger account reconciliations
  • Strong attention to detail, reporting, communication, and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills

NICE-TO-HAVE:

  • CPA or CMA

LOCATION:

  • Remote, California (Los Angeles area highly preferred)

Compensation ($80,000 to $115,000): Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Our total compensation package includes the base salary and competitive benefits.
