We are currently looking for a dynamic individual as an Account Manager focused on specialty chemicals for our Performance Products Division at our Corporate Headquarters located in The Woodlands, Texas.

As an Account Manager, you will be accountable for growing sales at existing and new accounts within the assigned sales territory by conveying deep product knowledge, the advantages of Huntsman products and services, and an appreciation of customer's needs and business.

What will be expected from you?

  • Accountable for growing profitable sales via the full sales process (identify, qualify, quote, close, develop and grow) This includes achieving sales budget
  • Utilize C4C sales tools for timely call reports and lead tracking
  • Lead and drive key account plans, budget and forecasts to deliver the agreed strategic objectives of value and profit for the territory
  • Establish a high standard of market intelligence for multiple markets in the territory with particular focus on reviewing market share, product penetration in target markets, competitor's product portfolio and competitor's positioning in the market
  • Negotiate / manage pricing and contractual agreements with prospective and existing accounts in territory
  • Coordinate with Quality, Customer Service, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Technical team members to deliver the service levels defined by the agreed upon business strategy for accounts
  • Work closely with Marketing to drive closure on key marketing initiatives in the territory as well as Value-Based Pricing initiatives
  • Coordinate with Accounts Receivable to minimize account-base overdues in line with business objectives
  • EHS and safety focused individual

What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?

  • Demonstrated success in the above key accountabilities and responsibilities
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry / Engineering/ Business with 10+ years' experience in a sales / account management role
  • Good knowledge of the Semiconductor/Li-Ion Battery market would be desirable
  • Demonstrated experience with high quality specialty products
  • Ability to group / comprehend relevant technical knowledge
  • Results focused and self-motivated/resilient/high tenacity
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Able to interact with various teams & departments at different levels globally
  • Flexible team player with leadership qualities and can do/positive attitude
  • Strong follow up and relationship building skills required
  • Willingness to travel within the region (+-50%)
