Imagine selling an innovative solution that provides a monthly profit stream to a construction companies' bottom line simply by replacing outdated physical checks paid to vendors/suppliers/contractors with more cost-efficient digital payments? You will be generating cost savings while turning the accounts payable department into a monthly profit center.
We are looking to grow our Construction Payments Vertical team, and are interested in individuals looking to join an innovative team that is now home to 400+ employees and counting. Our Commercial Payments business acts like a fintech wrapped up inside the stable walls of the a 150+ year bank, with one of the strongest balance sheets in the United States.
This individual can be located remotely throughout the United States - Home office-based role
Responsible for selling the institution's Construction Payments Solution products to targeted companies in designated sales territories. These companies will typically have no established relationship with the institution prior to contact.
Each Account Executive will develop and establish relationships with "C" level associates within public and private sector businesses, government and educational entities.
To achieve the objectives of this job, the incumbent will initiate the use of various prospecting methods including cold calling, leveraging internal and external referrals, as well as through networking groups.
In addition to prospecting, the incumbent must employ effective listening, problem solving, presentation, sales, negotiation, closing and relationship management techniques to obtain assigned sales goals.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Excellent oral and written presentation skills
Strong organizational, follow-up, interpersonal, telephone and PC skills (Microsoft Office - Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Ability to source own leads (hunter type sales experience), set own appointments and follow-up
Experienced in "solution selling" - having the ability to work with clients by identifying company goals/initiatives and move the sale through the sales cycle to close
Must have experience working with C-level decision makers and negotiating pricing/contracts
Detail oriented and can incorporate complex program and technical implementations
Knowledge of sales process, operational functions, implementation process, business development, presentation skills, preparing customers' requests for proposals and strong customer contact
Identify and sell additional users and functions of the Commercial Card products
Working knowledge of Salesforce.com or similar CRM
Frequent travel and entertaining required with overnight trips to markets, conferences and for training purposes
Home based office Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
Education & Experience
Preferred - College degree (business or finance) Required - High School diploma
Minimum of 3+ years of sales experience (new customer acquisition) preferably in Construction industry sales and understanding of business concepts to include payments in the Construction payment arena.
