Job Description

  • Job Title: Sr. .NET Developer
  • 6 month true contract-to-hire
  • Must haves:
    • 7+ years .NET development experience
    • Experience with any modern javascript framework. (this team uses React, but fine with Angular or similar)
    • Experience mentoring junior/mid developers
    • Here's what they do NOT want:
      • Do NOT want someone from an Enterprise/huge company environment
      • Do NOT want someone with object-oriented or N-Tier development experience
      • Do NOT want an Architect that has been hands-off from the code
  • Nice to Haves:
    • Any other tech stack experience (such as Node) would be nice
    • Vertical slice or feature folders experience would be nice
  • Job overview/scope of role:
    • This role will be working on the Marketplace team. This team works with non-hospital customers, such as surgery centers. The Marketplace is an online ordering platform comparable to Amazon, but for supplies - such as medical supplies, office supplies, etc. Helps them track what those small facilities are buying.
    • Full stack developer role. Tech stack= .NET, React, small amount of SQL, but no ETL involved at all.
    • The developers are given an outcome to deliver which they call an OKR. So they're not given a certain timeline to deliver and they're not metric heavy. They are given a problem to solve and they figure out how to solve it. They said they want developers that care about the problems. Not someone that just takes requirements from stakeholders.
  • Interview Process:
    • 1-2 rounds. If it's 1 round, it'll be a 2 hour interview with the manager and then the team afterwards. If it's 2 rounds, it'll be 1 st round with the manager and 2 nd round with the team. They'll try to schedule the two rounds as close together as possible to move quickly on this.
  • Start Date: ASAP - as soon as BG check clears, typically 2 weeks after offer is accepted.
    • Company culture:
      • They refer to themselves as a Product-focused company, as opposed to an IT department.
      • R&D type shop; similar to Google in that they encourage the research mindset
      • Very laid back culture, start-up vibe with enterprise money backing them.
      • Office is in Nashville, all the walls are painted with whiteboard paint so they whiteboard on the walls a lot. Game room with Xbox games, ping pong table, mini golf. Kitchen with fully stocked keg.
