Job Description

The EngineeringIntelligence Director will work directly with the Engineering Leader toestablish the Engineering growth strategy and the actions required to executethat strategy. The responsibilities include:+ External Focus: Provide theexternal, market-driven Engineering knowledge necessary to build ourexpertise in our specialty Engineering targets, influence the marketperception of our expertise and evaluate possible new markets, geographiesand talent solutions.+ Internal Focus: Will work with allother Kelly functions to ensure that the Engineering strategy is executed(Marketing, growth/market research team, new product development,etc.)+ Organizational Focus: Isresponsible for ensuring that the talent within the specialty organizationis, in fact, experts in the Engineering specialty and continues to growand build that knowledge as our Engineering specialty matures.**EssentialFunctions:**+ Translating the corporate businessplan for the specialty/portfolio into actionable plans for our recruitingand sales teams.+ Working with the right internal andexternal partners to identify the schools, associations or other relevantexternal groups that will drive our specialty reputation+ Identify the appropriate geographies,industries or related categories where our specialty focus will be mostsuccessful.+ Use market data to design andexecute experiments to determine the next niches within the specialty+ Work with marketing to establish anexternal campaign leveraging the talent within our teams and those weplace to further highlight our expertise+ Use data and metrics to evaluatethe performance of our teams executing the specialty strategy+ Work with the new product team toidentify specialty-focused talent solutions+ Work with the Engineeringleadership team to assess our talent's specialty expertise and establish aplan to close any gaps and acquire the appropriate skill sets.**Knowledgeand Skills:**+ Deep and broad understanding of Engineeringincluding current and future trends+ Strategic mindset - Developsenterprise-wide strategies that are distinctive in the market, createvalue for customers and other stakeholders, and provide sustainablecompetitive advantage.+ Business Insights - Appliesknowledge of business and the marketplace along with data driven insightsto advance the organization's goals.+ Cultivates innovation - Has along-term view of the future of the industry, a keen understanding of howvalue will be created in the future, and a clear vision of how to generatesustainable competitive advantage+ Manages complexity - Applies broadknowledge and seasoned expertise to address complex issues, deal withuncertainty, and solve intractable problems+ Courage - Steps up to addressdifficult challenges, confront tough organizational issues, make unpopulardecisions, forge new ventures, and champion change+ Develops talent - Ensures that theorganization has the talent required to meet current and future businessneeds by bringing the best talent on board, developing internalcapabilities, building a pipeline of successors, and deploying talentappropriately+ Communicates effectively -Communicates in ways that provide clarity of message, project a credibleand confident image to a diverse set of internal and external stakeholdersand audiences, and maximize impact.**Requirements:****Education:** Bachelor'sDegree in Engineering field, Master's degree preferred**Experience:** 10+ years'experience in the Engineering specialty with at least 5 years of experience inunderstanding/acquiring talent within that specialty.Preferencegiven to candidates who have expertise in the target niches within eachspecialty.Travel -20-40%**About Kelly Services®**Kelly connects talented people to companies in need of their skills in areasincluding Science, Engineering, Education, Office, Contact Center, LightIndustrial, and more.
